Yijia is a Junior studying Business and Data Science at Gallatin with a minor in Math and Computer Science. He was born and raised in China, went to a Christian high school in Pennsylvania and that’s where he met God. He enjoys talking about faith with people from different religious backgrounds. He is passionate about what God is doing in NYC and wants to bring unity to the Christian community at NYU.

Nicolas is a freshman studying Economics and Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences. Nicolas is a native Chadian, but his family lived in several different countries in Africa and Europe before settling down in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area almost a decade ago. Nicolas is passionate about Christian ministry and plans to get involved in long term international missions, particularly in areas where the gospel has not yet gone.

Josh is is currently a junior in CAS majoring in Politics and minoring in Economics. Throughout his college career, Josh has found a particular interest in analyzing the real-life implications and links between politics and the Christian faith.

Jack Lee

Jack Lee is currently a senior majoring in Film and Television. He was radically saved in China right before he came to NYU and believes that it is only through the testing of time in our day to day life where we can cultivate the oil of intimacy with Jesus. He believes that it is through a lifestyle of faith and righteousness that can help us experience powerful encounters of God in our work, finance, education, and our personal lives. Thus, Worship and Praise is not only a hobby for Jack but a life long calling that goes beyond the eschatological timeline in to eternity.

Madjibe is a freshman in Liberal Studies. She is excited to serve her campus and grow in her love for Christ. She enjoys long walks and trying new recipes. She looks forward to meeting you all!

JR is a Senior studying Film and Television at Tisch School of the Arts. He was born and raised in Bremerton, WA. After 2 years at Seton Hall University in NJ, JR transferred to NYU and found Christ again. The community of Christians he found played a huge role in that. He is passionate about spreading this community and the message of God through his work in film, design, and music.

Carissa Gould

Carissa is a sophomore majoring in Media, Culture, and Communications with a minor in Social and Public Policy. She has her own photography business and enjoys dragging her friends around the city to explore new ways of capturing light. You can often find her with a pour over in hand, in the middle of conversation with a friend or stranger, laughing one moment and talking about existential crises the next. She hopes to either work in content creation for a nonprofit that fights against human trafficking or go to law school to become a human rights lawyer -- these two things may seem unconnected, but Carissa does not care *upside down smiley face emoji*.

Aidan Massie

Aidan is a sophomore majoring in Interactive Media Arts and minoring in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. Aidan was born and raised in the Great Buckeye State (that’s Ohio for the uninitiated) before he moved to New York City to attend NYU and spend way too much money on coffee. In addition to his coffee addiction, Aidan is also a podcast nerd and an avid sports follower, hoping to become a part of the sports industry with a professional team or league to further grow the world of sports and the excitement and social change it creates across the globe.

Lau is currently a Junior at Gallatin concentrating in Political Fictions and minoring in Journalism. Born in the middle of nowhere, USA, Lau mostly grew up in Bogotá, Colombia and has has lived in ten cities in seven countries. When not writing or editing blogs for CIFC, she enjoys books, good coffee, coloring books for grownups, witty repartee, and pretentious words like “repartee.”

Lachlan Warrell

Lachlan graduated from NYU with a degree in social work in December 2020. He came to Christ in high school in Australia through a book about basketball players he looked up to. In Cru, his undergraduate fellowship, he became convinced God has a much bigger plan for NYU, in fact so convinced NYU is a key part of what he wants to do to save the lost around the world, that he joined International Students Inc. as a full-time staff.

Ministry represented: InterVarsity Christian Fellowship

Born in Nova Scotia and raised in LA, Kaitlyn fell in love with Christ after He miraculously healed her at age 10. God led her to NYU 6 years ago to study dance and dance education, where He demonstrated the beauty and richness of fellowship through many wonderful brothers and sisters on campus. After graduating, God called her back to NYU to serve as InterVarsity Staff Intern, with a longing to see more of God's heart spread like fire throughout our campus and city. She sees CIFC as a place for all believers to join hands and hearts, building an altar of prayer and worship through which God can move powerfully and bring renewal and revival.

Billy loves telling people the good news, and this is why he loves his job! His mission is to convey what God is doing in our community all across the board in multifaceted ways. He puts the face to the stories of renewal, healing, and salvation that emerge in our community.
